Postsecondary Education Scholarship

Image

In Arizona both the State Legislature and the Arizona State Board of Regents are making devastating cuts to the overall education system. They are also raising the costs of college tuition at an alarming rate. These two processes are devastating and gravely hinder the reality of obtaining a college education for high school graduates in the State of Arizona; consequently, this is especially true for the poor and disadvantaged of our community. For these reasons ODBCOS created the postsecondary education scholarship program.

Our Daily Bread Community Outreach Services (ODBCOS) offers a postsecondary education scholarship. The ODBCOS scholarship program creates a path to a college education for the poor and disadvantaged. In addition, the scholarship program teaches community stewardship and encourages academic achievement. In order to qualify for the scholarship, a high school student must have a 3.0 GPA from the high school they are graduating from. They must also perform 100 community service hours with ODBCOS prior to starting college and maintain a 3.5 GPA while attending college to keep their scholarship award.
